Unlike any other commercially produced reef product, Coastal Restoration Inc. and Artificial Reefs, Inc., (CRI/ARI) have extensively applied the principles of hydrodynamic engineering in the design of its Fish Haven and Coastal Haven series modules. These systems closely model the productivity and shoreline stability characteristics of natural barrier reefs. This design effort included intense research and testing, utilizing the geometric and physical properties of stability. Extensive field and lab testing on the original prototypes documented that the Coastal Haven/Fish Haven modules actually dig in slightly on sand bottom and will not move or tip over, regardless of wave height generation or energy of current.
